yeah the DSLRs like the Nikon D50 and D70 and I think the Canons use CF cards I and II - microdrives too. I have a D70.

You can use the little batteries with it, but even on frequent flash use and filling a few gigs of cards I've not totally drained the supplied rechargeable battery - so unless you are really wed to AAs (then go for say a Canon Powershot (not sure about CF II?) or a Nikon consumer range...Olympus C series are very good tho, friend has the C2000 I think, only 2meg but the grain was good and the first camera I saw that used both CF and Smartmedia (RIP). Nice camera.

Dunno about the modern Olympus consumer range...kind of lost me not bringing out a DSLR for so long, and I wenr with the lens compatibility of Nikon (had an F80, but also have a little Canon Powershot A70)
