Alotta miles
Mar. 4th, 2006 09:01 pmAmong the myriad things happening in the garage today was some much needed attention spent on the truck; oil change, fixing a headlight full of water, etc. I noticed the mileage was 188878 and I thought about an earlier post from
bigsabu on how he likes seeing patterns of numbers and how it sates the OCD in him. I had the camera out with me already (I was doing a photoshoot for a review of Mini Cooper oil filters - dont ask) and decided to take it with me during my post-maintenance test drive which I extended just a bit. It wont be long till I reach all zeroes for the third time.

No 'million mile' odometer here
This is for you, you big Sabu.

Date: 2006-03-05 04:46 am (UTC)I love it.
The only thing that could have made it better was if the number below it was a palindrome as well. Though that might have made my head explode from sheer joy.
And I'm even one of the tags!
*does the happy dance*

Date: 2006-03-05 06:37 am (UTC)See, seeing Phil nekkind while driving the truck as it hit 88888 miles would have made it better for me.
But that's just me.

Since it was sitting in the driveway since I took the pic, all I needed to do was cheat while resetting the trip odo.

Date: 2006-03-05 06:07 pm (UTC)I beat the crap out of this truck and it has treated me rather well. I rebuilt the trans a couple years ago at about 160K. I just recently rebuilt both driveshafts and the front axle shafts because the u-joints were coming apart.
Next truck I get will be a diesel as well. Can't beat 'em!
