I took tonight to send almost all of my various profiles and identities down to Davy Jones' locker. No more BM, BMB, etc, the only remaining are Bear411 (which would not let me delete for some reason) and LJ. I feel they have all run their course, I am not using them anymore, and I figured it was time to put 'em all to rest. I've feeling a lot more 'private' these days for some reason.

And one more picture to close out TLAPD. The last one was a bit PC-centric.

I'm debating deleting my B411 profile, too. You'd think I would have by now but...

*hugs*

Wow! BMB profile # 10 is no more??? You had one of the earliest profiles there of sanyone I know. I was late arriving to that site. I never felt I qualified as having enough muscles for a profile there. Oh well. I don't want to say "Sorry to see you go" because it sounds like you are moving in a direction you feel comfortable doing and I'm very supportive of such.

I also just noticed that you have Kit Watkins as one of your Music listings. He is a long lost friend of mine I used to chat with often years ago. I have lost touch but now have a way to recontact him. Thanks!

Hehe, Kit is my ex. ;)

I might reactivate the BMB profile someday, I dont know. I can honestly say that at one time, I was in the top ten. X-D

Seriously, I think the bear world's degrees of separation tops out at about 2.6!

I've been saying "max of 3" for about 4 years now, so you may be correct.

Understandable

Sorry this is late, but just got back from house hunting in Hawaii.

Almost 3 yrs ago I did the same thing. Dropped my "bear" moniker (pugsly)and just went to my name (michael). Dropped all our joint and single chat profiles etc (took me a while, sheesh).

I felt everything had run it's course. Those that really wanted to communicate with me could do it thru LJ and although we really liked Icuii and those programs, the ability to "play online" is so easy, that it just isn't an arena we want to be in (way too many problems with jealousy etc with those at this point in the realationship).

You can always return, but when life changes, for what ever reasons they may be, your focus changes, reasons change and you MOVE ON.. usually for the better.

enjoy the changes...

Good to see you again, I hope you're well.

Interesting that you post this, as I just nuked my Daddyhunt profile. I was an ad-supported member, and they recently decided to take many features that were available to everyone and put them behind a pay wall.

This does two main things.... pisses off the ad-supported folk, and it pisses off the paid members as they aren't getting anything new. I suspect many people will drop off the site.

wow, i just got onto bear411 10 months ago and really enjoyed talking to a lot of bears. I just got my LJ account a month ago, thanks to tony berno that_dang_otter putting his LJ link on the bears mailing list. 411 has been really helpful been finding guys i haven't talked to in 10 years! and i've been using it for husband hunting. guess i'm a real newbie at this. i'm just getting used to connecting to people on the net. But it's helpful, like bear weekend at hillside, i'll ask guys if they are in 411 so it is easy to keep in touch with men. Where i live i feel pretty cut off from bears, this is a temp fix for that. When i read bears LJ living in SF i am amazed how many friends they have, just going out to dinner together and doing stuff. Boy do i envy them, what they take for granted. I wonder if there is a large group of bears outside of SF and NYC, like living in an affordable city? Like I said i'm husband hunting (or husbands would love to be in a triad relationship) so b411 seems to be helpful in the hunt!
