Rich Text mode must DIE
Feb. 14th, 2004 01:59 amWell, I was almost done with a very involved and dare I say heartfelt update to my journal, but I ended up puting too much faith in LJ's 'rich text' mode. Sure enough, after several very long paragraphs, my effort to back up what I had written by copying it and pasting it somewhere was thwarted by that option not available in a context menu. Ah well, I held my breath as I hit the update button.
As you may have guessed, I was greeted by an 'unable to find the page' error, and hitting the back button returned me to a blank box.
I am fucking incensed.
I guess I have to be a paid member to have my journal hosted on something other than a Commodore 64.
This makes me not want to bother with this anymore.

Date: 2004-02-14 04:34 am (UTC)It's a server/loading thing. Too many people, your message can't get to the server, the web browser kills it.
A friend of mine writes all of her journal entries in Notepad or Wordpad, then cuts/pastes it into the browser when she's done. That way, it doesn't get lost.
