I managed to find (and lift) some proofs frome Killboy's photo store of me having the Dragon to myself. These times were not very plentiful given the sheer amount of people in 'town' for the weekend. This I believe was from a run on Thursday.

This is one of the more open, easier corners, going probably 45mph or better (in a curve that most would be taking at no more than 20-25mph). Anyone who loses it in that turn will slide off the road and down the mountainside, with only the trees to stop the tumbling.

I wish I could drive like this every day.

They're sporty, and cute, and would fit on each of my feet. Why are all the neat cars too small to wear?

Funny thing is that at times I've been known to take freeway turns a little fast myself. When I had the Honda, I would hit the turn from west bound highway 16 to I-5 northbound at about 45 or so MPH, and still do not quite that fast, but still fast in the truck with cheapie tires now as it is. :-)

Come out to California, bring the MINI, we have roads that even in the MINI I don't go faster than 20mph on. With 250 ft drop offs onto the jagged rocks of the pacific shoreline, narrow lanes, hairpin curves, no guard rails, banked wrong, with potential rockslides and one spot of road that just keeps falling off the cliff into the ocean by itself, no need to even start the car.

I'm glad you had fun. I remember those roads from when I used to take my Jeep Wrangler on them during my many hiking/camping/river kayaking trips. Happy memories.

You'd be surprised how much room these things have inside. For big and tall people. One guy at this event was about 400 pounds. Many are well over six feet tall. The latest model increased the interior room even more. I dont know how they do it (iside from the fact that the car is not realy THAT small. It's short, yet it's wider and taller than most in it's class.

Road runs (whether formally organized or not) like the one you enjoyed are such fun. Done them in the past and miss them. Glad you had a great time. Be sure to cut the racing line on that next corner!
