Not sure about some of you, but my LJ experience has been a mess lately. I am aware of the issues they've been having with DDoS attacks and whatnot. I have not been getting comment notifications, some posts and comments are blank in other's entries, and reading and posting has been iffy for a while now. If you've posted a reply and was expecting a return, I probably didnt get it, and I have to try and backtrack through my comments and do it 'manually'.

I guess this made my decision as to getting a permanent account. I dont want a permanent headache.

That is weird, cause I've seen little of the problems some have been experiencing and therefore I wonder if it's some servers that got affected more than others?

I've been able to post w/ no problems whatsoever, outside of one time a phone post was almost a day late in posting a few weeks back, like around Memorial day weekend, well that Friday afternoon late. My email postings have been posting like they should and all of my direct postings via LJ itself have been posting and so far, I've gotten all of my comments from others w/out problems. I do sometimes think it's Yahoo that isn't always notifying me of any incoming emails however of late.

No trying to change you mind but I got my permanent account 3 or 4 years ago when they offered them and it was $100. Other than the stuff of late, which is probably a chunk of bad code somebody let get by without testing, the disruptions have not been too bad. Plus the new stuff (RSS, new style sheets to customize even more, friend of friend) have made it easier to integrate into my homepage and RSS news reader to download while flying.
But, $150 is a significant investment if you do not think you are going to use this for another 5 or so years.

Oh, I forgot, when you are on permanent, you are on a different server so i have not seen much as far as not being to access the server, etc. Kinda like the 10 time special hosting room on SNL. *g*

I agreed. my email notifications have been delayed in the last few days... I just receieved 3 notifications that were from comments left on my blog 2 days ago!
