Thank you for saving the little guy. They're beautiful, gentle, and useful creatures, and you have earned a permanent place on my 'friends' list for taking the time to help him.
On a side note - my roommate pulled a pail from under a shelf today and saw a pair of bluetailed skinks mating inside it. He said he apologized to them for interrupting and quickly stuck it back where it was. Oops!
