It's movie time here at The Garage of Mayhem. I bring you intrigue, history, lies, murder, war, religion, conspiracies and more. It's a must-see, since it involves just about anything you know about the world as it is. I am not going to add any more commentary here, but am willing to continue in the comments section. So, grab a tall one, a bag of popcorn, (it's nearly two hours) and perhaps a tin foil hat.

Note that some scenes might be a bit intense for some viewers.

I have watched the entire movie. It's fascinating, but there are some glarng issues. Many of the "facts" are unconfirmed, and some are just not accurate. For example, the birth of Jesus is well known not to have been in December. It was moved intentionally to detract from pagan holidays at solstice.

What you end up with is a sort of All or Nothing documentary that ultimately, in my opinion, fails.

Yes, and the Eastern Church never observed Decemeber 25th, they used Epiphany Sunday in January. And even in the Western Church, Christmas was a minor feast day, not nearly as important as the recent commerical focus has given it.

Thanks for posting this. Right around 9/11/07, [livejournal.com profile] revhyperion turned me onto this. I watched it and made an LJ entry in review. Very interesting stuff. I don't agree with all of it, but the part about religion is the most compelling.

Yep, some of the facts are just plain unprovable or even false. That was my main issue with the movie, along with some of the out-there tinfoil hat thinking. There is a lot in the movie that makes you think, especially surrounding the WTC collapse. If you use the movie as a starting point to do some investigating on your own, it works. But taking it as a whole is too much.

You came away from this the same as I have. Much of the pre-911 stuff is pretty well known and is discussed often. It's cool to see the three parts presented together, but that does not make it tie together perfectly either.

I consider it entertainment with some potential. Things are presented here that we will never know the truth behind. I love a good conspiracy theory, but true conspiracies, not so much.

They COULD have tied it together quite nicely. All 3 parts were presented together for a reason. However, they failed to achieve this.

I originally viewed the movie as three separate parts. I feel it's actually a bit more convincing, part-for-part, when taken separately.
