(no subject)

I'm posting this picture simply to piss off Prince's 98 pound ass.

I'm sorry, but any respect I had for this little twerp has gone out the window. It's one thing to want to have control of one's copyrighted images and silly symbols. After all, no one wants to see unauthorized posters and swag for sale, etc. That's the letter of copyright law. It is, however, something completely filled with asshattery to demand that fan sites, personal webpages and the like be scrubbed of all such imagery, including personal photos and other user-generated content that give passing resemblance. To do as such is essentially waging war with your own rabid fan base.

What's that old saying about biting the hand that feeds you? Go on ahead, Mr. Nelson. Send out the legal hounds to purge the internet of every single instance of 'your property' being used by fans in noncommercial, fair-use situations. You will soon be ridiculed and relegated to the cutout bin of relevance. After all, I'm sure that the YouTube clip of the dancing baby with "Lets Go Crazy" barely audible in the background has caused a marked decrease in CD sales and eroded control of your work.

And to think I used to enjoy music.

It's called "Rave Un2 The Ass Hattastic".

I read your article. Way to go! And congrats on the feature on Wordpress. Maybe the purple poopoohead will read it.

Thanks. I hope no one thought I was grandstanding - but that post is the 3rd highest viewed since I started my blog in July 2006. The highest was one about the price of Rush tickets, the second about Vinnie leaving OCC.

It's weird because housequake.com picked it up and I know The Fucktard Formerly Known as Talented reads that - he cites it often on 3121.com.

I know first hand of the cost of Rush tix from earlier this year. Most major-name concerts are overpriced. It's made far worse these days by the scalpersbrokers that swoop in and buy up most of the good (and not so good) seats and resell them for huge gains.

...the second about Vinnie leaving OCC.

I'd be interested in reading that post.

Thanks! His last episode with American Chopper showed him shirtless at Mikey's pool. The memory is still burned in my brain.

what bike were they building? Wonder when the episode will be rerun...

Iowa Farm Bureau Bike 2 (Episode #110) Right before they show Vinny leaving Mikey decides to have the entire cast over for a BBQ at his home/pool. Vinny has on jeans but then suddenly is shirtless (and hatless) with a BEAUTIFUL furry chest and is jumping into Mikey's pool in just his jeans. It was a very brief shot but memorable. I saved the episode on my DVR and with the intent to burn it onto DVD and do some still captures. ;-)

You are right in your article, the show won't be worth watching without him but I am eager to see his new venture.

(P.S. Sorry Phil for semi-hijacking this thread!)

Thanks for the info.

Phil, my apologies as well, but hey - I made a new friend today.

And Vinnie with his shirt off - serious business.
