I guess today is "Goodbye Rudy Tuesday".

I am so sick to death of politics, brain-dead evangelicals, mudslinging and the entire spectacle of it all.

I have felt that way for several years now, sick to death of playing the politics game without really knowing all the cards in the deck.

But the way this election is shaping up, I am really curious to see how it all turns out. I'm still limiting my emotion investment, but I'm more interested than I've been in a long time.

I have deliberately avoided mainstream media for a while now, but I happened on CNN yesterday and I couldn't tell if I was watching a sports event of an election event. The pundits and anchors and the graphics were identical. Depressing as all hell. I have completely come to terms with the fact that nothing real (health insurance and my right to marry whomever the fuck I please, etc. etc. etc.--pick your inequity) will ever happen in the US in my lifetime. Just this pendulum of obfuscation that swings back and forth endlessly, ad nauseum.

There ought to be a mass execution of all politicians to set an example to the next batch that we as the public run the show and them as our employees better start serving us not the rich pigs that now run this country
