If at first you don't succeed...

Well, I did not make it to DC for either the parade or the street festival. I wasn't feeling very proud or festive this weekend. Besides, after certain 'events' that happened the last couple times in DC, both of us decided to skip it this time. I cleaned the gutters and pressure-washed the house instead.

We'll definitely be at Baltimore's parade and block party Saturday next week, since that event seems to be a bit cozier, more personable and relaxed, and the block party kicks ass. We'll also try to hit the festival on Sunday too.
