September Photo Challenge: SNAKE
Sep. 20th, 2008 09:59 pmWell, not really, but this little guy took up residence in a flower pot I brought outside from the living room when I was drying out the overwatered plants and trimming them. Not really sure what sort of snake it is, I lump these in the garter snake category.

I saw this snake slither across the front walkway the other day. He scooted off in the flower bed before I could grab him. Jeff does not like snakes. That's putting it mildly. So I end up being the wreptile wrangler any time a snake shows up around the house. Or, in a couple cases. inside.
I plucked the little dude out of the pot after letting him keep me company while working outside and on the plants and beds. He did not mind being picked up, and seemed to watch the scenery go by during his trip to the back yard. When I returned, the neighbor and her kids were at the front door selling Girl Scout cookies. I got Trefoils, like I always do.
