Computers and turkeys
Nov. 24th, 2008 10:57 pmI built the domain server/gateway/webserver here at the Garage of Mayhem inside a case I had gotten for free as part of a parts order combination a couple years ago. So I was not too upset when I tried to fit a set of removable hard drive racks into the thing and found the case lacked enough depth to hold the things. No biggie. I did some research and selected a Lian-Li aluminum case as a replacement.
The case came in today. Yay!
The racks dont fit into it either. Fuck!
Now researching a different form of removable drive racks for it. One similar to the type I put in the InsanityServer would fit the bill. Or the case, as the case may be.
There are days I hate computers.
Work was a load of headache-y fun today with the lingering cold. Jeff's sister arrived safely at the airport and I brought her home, whereupon Jeff spirited her off to Pennslovakia. With a bit of luck, we'll all be together again for a late T-Day dinner up with the folks in PA. Tomorrow I pick up the fresh turkey breast from the farm across the road that Jeff and I will have here at home on Thanksgiving Day proper. I can't wait till Wednesday evening and the start of a 4-day weekend.
