September Photo Challenge: SNAKE

Well, not really, but this little guy took up residence in a flower pot I brought outside from the living room when I was drying out the overwatered plants and trimming them. Not really sure what sort of snake it is, I lump these in the garter snake category.

snakepot

I saw this snake slither across the front walkway the other day. He scooted off in the flower bed before I could grab him. Jeff does not like snakes. That's putting it mildly. So I end up being the wreptile wrangler any time a snake shows up around the house. Or, in a couple cases. inside.

I plucked the little dude out of the pot after letting him keep me company while working outside and on the plants and beds. He did not mind being picked up, and seemed to watch the scenery go by during his trip to the back yard. When I returned, the neighbor and her kids were at the front door selling Girl Scout cookies. I got Trefoils, like I always do.

This is a really nice photograph, however, it really isn't a "shape" photo. Shape indicates a 2D or silouette object...all the objects in this photo are actual objects. A Shape object infers another object (like a shadow does or like a silouette does from lightcast that causes it to be 2D instead of 3D). I'll put this in as your entry, but if you want to resubmit another photo, I encourage you to do so. I don't make comments like this to be a jerk. I do it so you understand the concept and can use it in your photographic compositions. I'll keep this one as your entry until I hear you want to put something else in. Please do it before tomorrow afternoon (Los Angeles Time) so I have time to put the recap post together. Thanks - and let me know if you'll be resubmitting...

LOL, This was not a serious post though. I got the inspiration from the person that submitted 'SNAPE' (and made me choke on my drink).

I will see if I can find something good as an actual entry in the short time left, if I do, I will post it. Sorry to play with the wording though. ;)
