Happy New Year

Unlike many here on LJ, I am not going to post photo retrospects, top best/worst music/movies/etc or anything similar. Instead, I am going to shoo '09 out like the obnoxious, destructive adolescent it's been to me. There were a few bright spots, but overall, it was one of my worst years, and I am not sad to see it go. So many disappointments, injuries, health issues and work-related hell that really need to go away.

The bright spots seem to belong more to Jeff, who's career change has left him with more time for himself and the opportunity to take vacations without the specter of last-minute cancellations. I am hoping this leads to a more enjoyable decade ahead. So far, so good.

Twenty-Ten is going to be one of rebuilding for me/us. Trying to get the house and yard fixed up, inviting more of our friends to share in good times and good food, seeing more of the world we live in. Lots of promises made, now it's time to put them into action.

I wish everyone reading this all the best the new decade has to offer.

I'm very optimistic about 2010 too. I'm sick of all the fear mongering, end of the world crap going on. 2009 was really a fear year. Hell.. the whole decade was.

Lets just give 2009 a big "get the fuck out of here". Your musings mimic mine in just how all over the board it was. I do have to say, that my friendship on LJ with you, this past decade basically, has been and always will be one that I respect and cherish.

Here's to you and Jeff's new focus on rebuilding. I wish nothing but the best for you guys~

I had a pretty good year, until the accident, but taking that in stride I still did. I was stable on my meds and made quite a few friends riding. Then came my wonderful basset hound, Zoe. As years go it wasn't all that bad. Only thing I'd like for the new year would be to get a more challenging job and along with that a lot more money.

Happy New Year guys. Here's hoping that life gets nothing but better and better!

You were very frank, Phil, and I like that about you.

There were many things about 2009 that I disliked, and am not at all unglad to see it go!
