The other day I picked up a cane to help me through my latest round of ailments. I immediately personalized it with my increasingly common phrase:

After spending about a half hour wedged into a MRI machine like a torpedo about to be fired, it appears all the hell I put my lower back through over the years my back has its vengeance. More unwanted disability spent at home and future vacations and trips uncertain. I'll know more in a couple weeks.

It's hell getting old.

ick, sorry about the problems.

But you look hot waving that cane...

(and no, I'm not being sarcastic.)

I love the personalized cane!! ;-)

I hope the back problems can be treated effectively.

It may be Hell getting old, but it sure beats the alternative!!

And the thing of it is, I'm 45 and that means I'm not much behind you and I hope I don't have to resort to such things so soon.

Take care my friend

That cane is wonderful! Love it. And the SpongeBob behind you.

Hopefully you get some good therapy options for your back. :(

*HUGS* I'm worried that I'm already starting to feel the damage I've done to my arms...

But maybe that can be alleviated by coming down and offering massages. Hrmm... :)

Mmm... woof!

Sorry you're needing that cane - I improvised one out of a mop handle when I had a really bad muscle pull in my back once - but yer still looking grizzly-good. ;)

Before you go trusting your well being to these greedy doctors I suggest you look into some alternative treatment options. I had a serious back problem a few years back and went to this real good Chiropractor who put me on this enzyme product from Germany called Wobenzyme (?Spelling). This stuff really worked for me.It attacks inflamation , She used this and message to heal my lower back and the problem has never returned. That was in 2005.Just look into the options before you let the mainstream medical profession turn you into their latest trial and error money generator.

Oh great, now everyone will sport a cane, thinking it will make them as distinguished looking as you.

I gotta admit, that's the most awesome cane customization, evah...
But I do have to add heartfelt hopes for a full recovery soon. And to echo what twostroker said above, I once had a terrific experience with a chiropractor and total healing of some back pain.
But, you have to ask around and get recommendations. After he died, I visited another chiropractor who took over the practice and was less than satisfied. The new guy was totally about soaking you for all the insurance monies he could manage to get his hands on. I think there are quite a few who do that....
Hugs....
