Go out to teh ghey dance clubs often? Here is the latest song that you'll quickly tire of due to its inevitable ubiquity. Not to mention the 50-plus obligatory remixes that will surely follow. So, like bread or fish, enjoy it while it's fresh!

Lady GaGa - Born This Way

It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up
'Cause you were Born This Way, baby

My mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars

She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir

"There's nothin' wrong with lovin' who you are"
She said, "'Cause he made you perfect, babe"
"So hold your head up, girl and you you'll go far,
listen to me when I say"

I'm beautiful in my way,
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way

Don't hide yourself in regret,
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way

Ooo, there ain't no other way
Baby, I was Born This Way
Baby, I was Born This Way
Ooo, there ain't other way
Baby, I was Born-
I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way

Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be!

Give yourself prudence
And love your friends
Subway kid, rejoice your truth

In the religion of the insecure
I must be myself, respect my youth

A different lover is not a sin
Believe capital H-I-M (Hey, Hey, Hey)
I love my life, I love this record and
Mi amore vole fe yah (Love needs faith)

I'm beautiful in my way,
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way

Don't hide yourself in regret,
Just love yourself and you're set

I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way

Ooo, there ain't no other way
Baby, I was Born This Way
Baby, I was Born This Way
Ooo, there ain't other way
Baby, I was Born-
I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way

Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be a drag, just be a queen
Don't be!

Don't be drag, just be a queen
Whether you're broke or evergreen
You're black, white, beige, chola descent
You're lebanese, you're orient
Whether life's disabilities
Left you outcast, bullied or teased
Rejoice and love yourself today
'Cause baby, you were Born This Way

No matter gay, straight or bi
Lesbian, transgendered life
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born to survive
No matter black, white or beige
Chola or orient made
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born to be brave

I'm beautiful in my way,
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way

Don't hide yourself in regret,
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way

I was Born This Way, hey!
I was Born This Way, hey!
I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way, hey!

I was Born This Way, hey!
I was Born This Way, hey!
I'm on the right track, baby
I was Born This Way, hey!

Ugh! It’s been out for...how many hours now? And it’s already stale.

its inevitable ubiquity.

And yes, I hate the song, too, despite Gaga's best intentions. Dance music doesn't have to have a thump-thump-thump on every single beat. Mix it up a little bit, people. "World (The Price of Love)" by New Order is a great example of a dance track done irresistibly and correctly.

I Kind of like this; very reminiscent of Madonna's "Express Yourself."

*heh* - I'd love to hear Carly Simon's "Tired Of Being Blonde" played at a dance sometime...!

It would be fresh if Madonna hadn't already written it 20 years ago. Lady Madogaga.

When I first heard this, I could not immediately put my finger on what song it reminded me of, nor the artist. It was driving me crazy because I knew the song, but my head was sort of "overpowered" by the similarities. It was not until I read it in a blog comment thread earlier in the day that it was "Express Yourself" that I realized the obvious and my fried brain's inability to process it all. Gah! And yes, it's uncanny the similarities between the two.

There's the rub, however. 20+ years can make it a nostalgic acknowledgment, rather than a total ripoff. XD

The other thing is, a large portion of LGG's audience was not even born when "Express Yourself" came out, or was too caught up in Transformers or My Little Pony to notice. I'm willing to give LGG this one, especially seeing she's (maybe not so) arguably the hottest pop star of the moment making an undeniably pro-gay song. Even more so if she pops a few uber-conservative aneurysms in the process. ;)

You'll have plenty of remixes and mashups to keep the crust kicked off for ya. =D

I don't know....Pink and Katy Perry have already released pro-gay songs that are comparatively original and kind of awesome. But yes, everything helps in its way.
