Well, it appears that LJ is mostly operational, but not without isolated issues. Like eating the long post that I had written a few minutes ago. Ah well, I guess I have to kick the crust off my DW account and use it as a primary, with a crosspost to this place. No wonder I am really soured on blogging and social media in general, it's unreliable and getting to be more work than it's worth at times.

Eh.. may not be just Lj .... Though i've had that happen to me last week.. i try to copy and paste anything that i type if it's gonna be long...

.. cause it could be part due the solar flares now hittin' the earth!!!

Are you sure this ( your souring about blogging) is all about LJ reliability?
I say this because for me...over the course of an entire year ...LJ.works over 99 percent of the time...and it has a better track overall record than Facebook in terms of user consternation
...and the times that it IS having issues,,are not enough for me to consider abandoning 8 years of blogging and over two hundred friends. I am not ready to throw that away so easily. Besides there are no good alternatives to LJ for me.

I got pretty much the same feedback from others...from a post I wrote last week about this ( we're staying).
