Another one gone

So, 2011 will soon be history. Good riddance. 2011 kicked both our asses, and not in a good way. Health issues, no income for me, lots of unfinished projects, uncertainties, a big decline in Jeff's mom's health due to Alzheimer's, the list goes on. We had some fun things happen to break up the bad stuff, of course, the trip to PTown, a few weekend getaways, visits by friends, that sort of thing. The good stuff give us hope for more as 2012 approaches.

Here's hoping that 2012 is a good one, and all that Mayan gobbledygook is just that. In the meantime, I'm gonna go work on cars.

I know that you have had a very difficult year, Phil. I hope that you and Jeff have a much better 2012. Oh by the way, there are only 33 days left until you reach that proverbial half- century mark. Have you planned for a big birthday celebration, or will you make it a relatively low-key affair? I have been informed that the recording of "Clockwork Angels" is finished, only the mixing and mastering are left. Hopefully, it will be released in early April, or so.

Someone told me a few days ago that the iPhone 5 is scheduled to be released in February. I am considering switching to a smart phone when I can find a pay as you go option. Happy New Year to both of you!

It will most likely be a low key thing if anything. Jeff and I have made noises to combine our birthday celebrations sometime during the spring (mine is early Feb, his is late May), since we are both turning 50, it would be a 100 year bash. However, it's been difficult to get people interested in parties and whatnot over here, so the whole thing might just be a nice quiet thing with a few friends. I gave up on celebrating my birthday, I'd rather age in peace like a good wine. Or vinegar.
