Liven up this place, whydontcha?

It's been rather obvious that my journal has been a rather dark and morbid place lately. Well, I tend not to gloss over things, I tell it like it is. I have noticed some similar occurances in other folks' journals as well. It's almost as though it's become a season of misfortunes that sometimes affect people at the same time. Of course, there are plenty of folk who's fun and good times are bright spots for those who are having some rough times. It's all about balance, and the appreciation of it.

I've had possibly more than my fair share of hard luck in recent months, but I am still here, I am still blogging (hell I can deny that I am, but I'd only be kidding myself). I'm still moving on with life, with it's little bright spots here and there that make things worthwhile. So, with that in mind, I am going to become more 'myself' and let everyone (including myself) in on my sense of humor which even in some very bad times has helped me as well as others get through it.

I want to also thank everyone who has left me encouraging notes and commentary, and sent emails and called me during all the bad times. Y'all dont know how much it has helped. I should also remind you that I have been sitting here smiling along with everyone's good times, and nodding along with the bad. Seeing the world (of my friends) through my window (of my LJ) has become a part of my daily routine, and it's enriched my life considerably.

So, barring any complications, look forward to some upbeat stuf here. If there is bad, I wont mince words. You deserve to hear it like it is, and more importantly, I need to be true to myself.
