Now for another kind of break

Yep, it's time for me to take a bit of a break from work, projects, general mayhem, etc and have some fun.

Yessirree, it's time again for Bear Invasion in Washington DC. Always a lotta fun for me and Jeff. It seems a lot of people I know locally and otherwise come to town for it. It's one of my favorite 'bear events'. Sadly though, it seems to mark the end of the year as far as big social gatherings for us. My question is, are any of you gonna be there, or in DC this weekend? If so, lemme know. I'd love to get together. I dont have any set plans other than the run events.

In other news, work has been hectic, the "80-year-old-thing-that-wont-retire-or-die" logged onto my workstation PC after screwing his up and somehow managed to smash mine to BSOD as well. So much for my past two weeks of testing and such. Oh well, it aint my fault.

Went to see The Incredibles last Friday. Pixar has done it again, with a simply engaging, funny and total romp of a movie. A visual feast, with great cinematography and what seems like their penchant for getting just the right voice actors. It's must-see moo-vee for sure.

Teusday night was the last trip to John H.'s house to pick up any remaining belongings. It's such a tough thing to do, but at the same time, it's the only right thing to do. Talking to his parents almost always leaves me choked up. Parents should never have to bury their children.

Off to get some pizza.

Enjoy Bear Invasion. If you run into philabearjoe tell him that I said hello and razz him about sitting in the second row center to see Olivia Newton John. While you may not feel that way, you would be doing it for me.

I agree with your assessment of Incredibles. Although it was a little slow at times, I really enjoyed it. One of my favorite lines was Frozone's wife telling him that she is all the "good of mankind" that he needs and Edna was hysterical!
