Arrrrgh!

Try as I might to post comments on some journals, I get hit with "This journal is in read-only mode right now while database maintenance is performed on the server where the journal is located. Try again in several minutes." I've been hit with this more and more lately, which is keeping me out of here and disgusted with the whole thing.

This post is to see if my own journal is locked out or not.

Edit: It took two tries to pound it in. The entry that is. Third time is a charm. This time.

LJ has been so screwed lately. As of today I can no longer respond to comments via my gmail account; it gives me an error every time.

*hugs* You saw me blast things once in my other account 'cuz I kept hitting that error. Ugh. Between that and the general connectivity problems LJ has been a MAJOR pain in the arse.

I thought it was just me. I spend time typing up a post, and when I hit that post button, I lose the entry 'cause I'm in read only mode.

When I get that message I usually just hit the back button, wait a second, then click the post comment button again and it works the second time. Doesn't always work, but most times it does.

Yup. Same thing has been happening to me. It takes several times and then my comments finally post.

I think that the new owners of LJ have decided to run it more efficiently by making the service SUCK!
