Appetite for destruction

greatbearMost people who know me pretty well know how much I am into building stuff. Putting together a hot street engine. Building a house. Welding, bolting, nailing, glueing, forging... give me materials, tools and time and I can build anything. I take great pride in creating things.
It should only follow that I also take a testosterone-drenched delight in busting up stuff. After all, in a lot of cases one has to destroy in order to facilitate creation. In cases where this does not apply, then it's fine just being a way to unload some pent-up frustrations, anger or out-and-out rage. Or just for the fun of it. I once tore down a ratty two-car block garage with a prybar and a 20 pound sledge. It took a day to reduce a building to rubble using nothing but attitude. AAAARRRRRRRRRHHH!
It was with the same kind of manly gratification that I watched some videos on the SSI website today. SSI is Shredding Systems Incorporated, makers of equipment used in destruction and recycling industries. They seem to have a similar ballsy pride as well, with a page of videos showing their shredders taking on everything from paper to refrigerators and more.
