Ask Me: [livejournal.com profile] 42601

[livejournal.com profile] 42601 asked me “If you're not allowed to build or fix (or to blast apart) anything ever again, What would you do with your life?”

This is pretty easy really. I’d love to teach. I have a lot to offer to others, and I feel a tremendous sense of satisfaction passing it on. People often tell me that I can relate to them things they are totally unfamiliar with by using analogies or methods they know. I will engage them at their level and take my time until I see they ‘get it’. I believe that teaching is the most underappreciated profession there is, and nothing else has the potential to further humanity in their evolutionary path than educating. There is an undercurrent of anti-intellectualism running through society these days, and those who fall for it tend to be easily manipulated, used to further others’ agendas and will never be able to enjoy life or their potentials at their fullest. How anyone can boast of their ignorance is beyond me.

I realize that I kinda cheated here, because to me, teaching is building, but in a different way.

cool

You teach me how to build, I'll help you put your music down.
