I've been gleefully watching the slow crash and burn of the right wing as it begins to pick up more and more speed. True, they have had their 'victories', such as the anti-gay legislation passed in Texas and the insertion of stupidity in science classes in Kansas schools, but there will come a day where such narrow-minded thinking will relegate those who practice it to being a marginalized laughingstock. Let's hope it's soon. I'll be the first to point and laugh, since I'll be pointing at proof that 'intelligent design' does not exist, and natural selection is doing it's thing.

Trent Lott as Pogo? Whoda thunk it?

Did you read my posts on two things I've noticed in self help books. The millionare next door phenominon and the "intellegent" whatever" rant/observation I did earlier?

Interesting to see this post from you.

I totally agree and with Cheney's slow disintregration to oblivion due to his failure to get excemption of the tribunal courts for prisoner for the CIA and the like.

Ain't that the greatest story so far?

Wonder what they'll do when the Dems stand up and agree to a Congressional investigation now... and hold the corrupt Republican leadership to their call.

I've been slowly working my way back on my friends list as I was writing this, along with reading various news sources and blogs. I saw your post on this. I feel the 'millionaire' phenomenon exists to prey upon the greed factors that many people have. Label something with 'millionaire', be it a game show or self-help/how-to book, and it will induce those who are looking to 'get rich quick' to check it out. A guaranteed sale for those books, lotto tickets, casinos, etc. No guarantees for those buyers though.

'Intelligent design' is simply Christian creationism cloaked in a scientific-sounding wrapper and pushed by those who live to foist such stuff onto others. Nothing more. It is not science, it does not involve scientific thought or processes and fall apart under scrutiny.

The 'blame game' will undoubtedly be played to the max, for one. lol

It's amazing how these moral types who cant see beyond their ideology are the very essence of hypocrisy. Classic symptoms of mental illness: denial, blame shifting, enabling, vectoring... These people should not hold public office or any positions of authority at all. I just want to see them all burn down. X-D

It's gonna be an interesting winter!

From what I read so far, Republicans gained or kept some 'lesser' offices, but Kaine got handed his victory by some of the most conservative districts like VA Beach and others as well as the typical, more liberal NoVa areas. That says something. And I like what is says.

Butting in here...I'm Dan the neighbor...

I'm amused by the implied truth in the accusation of leaking classified material. the administration had been busy saying that the eastern block "american" prisons weren't true. Never existed. Preposterous.

Now they're calling the same information "leakes classified material." Sounds like a conservative congress calling the administration on a lie, in a twisted sort of way.

Does that mean I can be Lucky? I've always wanted to work up that play as an absurdist opera... LOL.

But yeah, this whole Kansas thing especially just reeeeeks of some cartoon like Family Guy or... okay. I'm out of the TV loop...

But yeah, conservative Christian leader gets killed and the real perps blame it on an act of God. Since, under this whole 'no need for natural explanations' bullshit we can't prove them guilty now. Voila. They get off scott free! They continue on before the conservatives finally re-think this whole thing... LOL

That was sort of my thoughts too but felt it had to be observed as said, by how it's used symantically.

But what you say is definately true. A false hope if you ask me.

Although I do play the lotto, I'm really interested in say, 20K, just so I can pay off bills, put money away and what not. That's it, really.

What it really boils down to with many self help books is that they are just smoke and mirrors if anything.
