Okay, this is getting a bit out of hand.
I decided to repost my longwinded entry that LJ 'ate' the other day. So, as what I usually do in very important projects, I did so 'offline' in a text editor, saving along the way. When done, I used the LJ web 'update' page like I always do to make my entries. Select all text in editor, copy, paste into IE, review one more time, click button to post and...
Blue screen of death. Over and over. Process after process kicking the bucket. Goddamn Win98SE on my studio machine anyway.
Hit the reset button, load everything back up, find my saved work and realize it's been turned into a zero-length file. Gone. Once. Again. FUCK!
I am not going to try again with that particular entry. It was hard for me to write both times, and seeing it evaporate each time was the final straw. It's moment has come and gone. I guess it ain't meant to be. My journal, at least for the meantime, will be reduced to snippets of text, if that. I'll just remain content with perusing those in my friend's list and following comment trails to others' journals.
Peace.
