Ten things meme
Feb. 24th, 2005 09:42 pmThis is kinda by request, which is rare for a meme.
Ten things blah blah know the drill:
1: I built the house I am living in.
2: I can go from working on the tiniest mechanisms (watches, meter movements, etc) to the biggest and heaviest (industrial engines, processes, whatever) and back again.
3: I used to be able to lift the ends of small cars.
4: I have perfect pitch.
5: I have been electrocuted countless times to varying degrees. I was also hit by lightning but I found that was something I have in common with
devcubber.
6: I was born in an Army hospital, both mom and dad were Army.
7: I built several 'boomboxes' which rivaled both the loudness and sound quality of commonly available portable devices at the time. The time was the early-mid 70s (I should have applied for patents!). Yes, I was a kid at the time.
8: I saw the first concert of the reunited legendary prog-rock group Happy The Man at the State Theater in VA, minus the original keyboardist. 8a: Said keyboardist was my partner at the time.
9: I disassembled and reassembled and engine blindfolded. It ran afterwards.
10: I once put out a rather large underhood fire in an old Ford by simply blowing it out. The resulting work to restore the old hooptie was not worth the headache. I should have let it burn.
