File this one under "Cute and Stupid":
It's not like I have never driven lawn tractors on the street before. I have, countless times, and enjoyed kicking it in neutral down some hilly sections and approaching 50mph or better. But being towed by a truck? Nah, too much potential for nastiness. It was entertaining though.

Date: 2008-05-13 05:25 am (UTC)Let's see - the tractor doesn't have enough track width to be properly stable at that kind of speed; if he turned that wheel a little too sharply - TUMBLE & DRAG!
It obviously doesn't have the brakes to handle a speed it was never intended to reach - so if the truck had needed to make an emergency stop, he'd have slammed his helmet-less self right into the back of that truck. Or, if he managed to react quickly enough and swerve, he'd have been thrown, probably with not much better results.
Any other major failure modes I've missed?

but then again - if he was in a g-string - I wouldn't have cared how stupid he was...
