Just another bipolar Monday

Jeff is currently watching Monday Night Football. Playing are his most favorite and one of his least favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles, respectively. It's a sloppy game riddled with penalties and bad calls, with the lead turning over with just about each touchdown. This has Jeff alternately cheering loudly and yelling just as loud at the television set. Often during the same play.

This is why I am currently hiding in the studio. And also why the dog starts barking when the enthusiasm level peaks positive and negative out there. I would not have it any other way though. Jeff looooves his football.

I got the engine control module for the Stratus back from the rebuilder today, just in time to get the car in shape for the emissions test that's past due on the 17th. $432 later and...

...it still has the same goddam problem. Now I have more wasted time, the car once again immobile and unusable and a late fee for the emission test to look forward to. These are days I completely hate cars and working on them.

At least I have the new tires on the MINI all mounted up and on the car. I fussed with the balancing to get it just right, and a triple-digit test drive confirmed the smoothness. So all is not lost.

Mondays are such a mixed bag around here.

I will never understand the attraction of football. Sure I went to most games when I was in University and they were fun, but it was more of a social thing than really caring about the game.
To sit and watch it on TV would bore me to tears but that speaks more to my lack of sports interest in general than anything else.
Bring on the FOOD NETWORK AND HGTV.
