I haven't been posting much lately. I simply am no longer feeling the "LJ love" anymore. The crumbling state of this once great nation, the politics, the witch hunt-like fervor of major organized crime religion waging war on gays, the financial mess, and the war are taking a visible toll on my well being. Add to all this my falling behind on things that matter around here with my health, my home and my partner, and I really have little desire to do much here aside from occasionally keeping up with what my LJ friends are doing. Until things start to look up around here, expect a bit of dust to settle among the existing entries. I wont get any more emo than this right now. I could bore everyone with car or computer posts, but I'll spare everyone for the time being.

Here's hoping for better days.

What I wanted to say in response to your post here has already been stated, and I include myself in what's said.

I've taken to telling myself of late that "I can do nothing and then nothing will get done" as a means to nudge myself along instead collapsing into a babbling pile of mush. It is challenging. To get out of bed every day seems to ask much of me, but I know I need to and I know there's much waiting for my attention and only so much one can do. I'll try to keep moving ahead.

So yeah, just know that when you do post, there seems to be plenty of us out here in LJ land who are interested in your activities and what you are feeling.

Where will I ever find you? I think maybe the loss of LJ love may be due to many folks internalizing the fear and pain they are feeling about the current state of the country and the world. When one cannot guarantee that by this time next year or next month, they will still have a roof over their head it sort of throws a wet towel over their enthusiasm. The best that we can do now is to throw out a beacon to let each other know we're still here and show as much love as we can. The situation will eventually turn around and we need to make sure we are all here to enjoy it once again. Big hugs handsome.
