How I spent my summer

Things keep getting a lot more annoying here at Mayhem Central.



I'm stuck wearing this cast/boot for the next three months. My left calf is already 2 1/2 inches smaller than the right, by the end of three months it will be a twig. I'm anything but happy right now. Only good thing is I can at least remove this contraption to take a shower. Otherwise, it's on 24/7.

Fuck it all.

Oh man, I'm sorry. I wore mine for about 3 months as well and that is after being in two full leg casts and 2 half casts (tib/fib break). No fun, but better than being wrapped in plaster the entire time. At least it is your left leg, so you can drive if you want. Don't worry yourself so much about the atrophy, you will get it back quickly enough.

You'll be able to do more with it than you think. I was able to ride my motorcycle all over the place with it. And at least yours is not the accelerator foot and you should be able to drive on some level.

Mine is the same but in black...

My calf muscle disappeared after a couple of months after my surgery almost completely. It was also crazy how quickly it came back-easily within 3-4 weeks. Are they trying to stretch out your Achilles by keeping you in in the boot even at night?

Between this and the Tinnitus you and I sure do have some fun stuff in common, don't we?
