The weather outside is frightful
Jan. 30th, 2010 08:42 pmIt appears that the "minor snow event" of about 1 to 3 inches has decided to get comfortable and hang around for a while. There's at least six or seven inches out there now, and it's still coming down. So, instead of a little bit of time spent with a snow shovel tomorrow, out comes By-Tor the Snow Blower for some snow-flinging fun.
Oh, joy. The trend where each occurrence of of snow precipitation is a measurable (read: shovelable or snowblowerable) continues. Usually we get lots of flurries and dusting with an occasional notable accumulation. Not this winter. Oh, well, at least it's not in the middle of the week where I am stuck going to work amidst the mess. In the meantime, I am getting socked with cabin fever. It's not all bad, the house is toasty warm via the woodstove, and I got lots of time to put towards little chores as well as geeky pursuits. I am just so over winter right now. Bring on the Spring.

It snowed about 3 fourths of an ich yesterday; the bright sun melted that
all away by dusk tonight.
Makes me wonder just how hot and humid it'll be in six months from now.
I need me one of those weather control machines, like John Houseman used
in that 3 part episode of The Six Million Dollar Man/Bionic Woman called " Kill Oscar."
I'd set it to sunny and 83 degrees in the day, and 60 degrees every night!
