If at first you don't succeed...

Well, I did not make it to DC for either the parade or the street festival. I wasn't feeling very proud or festive this weekend. Besides, after certain 'events' that happened the last couple times in DC, both of us decided to skip it this time. I cleaned the gutters and pressure-washed the house instead.

We'll definitely be at Baltimore's parade and block party Saturday next week, since that event seems to be a bit cozier, more personable and relaxed, and the block party kicks ass. We'll also try to hit the festival on Sunday too.

Aw darn it to heck! Too bad you can't make it. If things had turned out a bit better here this weekend I probably would have been in DC today, but there was just too much negativity.
