I usually skip the parade and do the block party. To me that's the entire reason to go. After a few years of driving my truck and pulling a float with both full of 'happy hairy homos', I can safely retire. It was fun while it lasted, even intimidating the diesel dykes with all my butchness (which was admittedly tempered somewhat with a sound system on the truck blaring typical fag music at about 200 watts).
