It's never too late for spring cleaning

In an effort to focus better upon what everyone has to say in their journals, I trimmed my 'friends' list back. No offense was intended, besides, mostly these were those who havent posted anything in a while, left LJ or were people I did not interact with. I also cleaned up my user info page somewhat. I am tossing around the idea of becoming a paid member as well. I think I need more user icons and cool features.

This little exercise took more than ten times longer than it should because LJ has been acting so flakey lately. If this keeps up, scratch the 'paid member' part.

Yeah, last night was probably the worst things have been in a while... Usually they will add more servers to help speed things up. Plus, "paid" journals supposedly get put on faster servers as well. I myself am hooked on LiveJournal since it makes it so easy to read other people's journals and meet other friends.

And yeah, I want more pictures and icons from you too! :-)

I tend to think genuine text-based content is the most important thing rather than the extra bells and whistles on LJ. :) Also considering cutting my own friends list but I worry that people will be offended...

Ultimately, the text is what matters, and I can spice things up with some html.

Those who pay seem to get more reliable serive along with the extras. I'm not in a hurry to upgrade just yet, tho.

Good on ya for cutting down your friends list. I did that a few weeks ago and it really help unclutter my LJ reading.

I'd do the paid member thing. You get a few more photos, but you also get to do polls, which are fun.

My 'friends' list I think makes for a diverse bunch. I removed those which werent posting much, posting excessive drama or those I never really interacted with.
