Taking a break
Nov. 23rd, 2010 11:49 pmOnce again I have the feeling that I've been "oversharing" my personal life over the internets. All the years of growing up a quiet loner and carrying that through a lot of my adulthood is a habit I still find hard to break. I might take a bit of a breather from posting stuff in order to recalibrate my thinking (or overthinking, whatevs). I've done this in the past, and the little "LJ-cations" give me some time to be alone in my head. I know my posts here aren't for everyone, but those who come into my world and interact are truly gems. I'll still be perusing my f-list and commenting where I think appropriate, but for now, I'm dimming the lights here and drawing the binds for a while. I'm becoming increasingly upset with unforeseen nerve problems and increasing joint pain and trouble, this has made getting quality rest impossible, and the effects are starting to show. The next several days will hopefully be peaceful ones, and I don't intend to do much in the way of tinkering or projects. Next week I intend to give my doctors a grilling for information as to why it seems my legs and joints are still deteriorating and the numbness becomes a firestorm every time I lay down. The back is fine, now it seems there are new problems.
This is the last thing I need.
Anyway, thanks for your support. I sincerely appreciate all of it.

Date: 2010-11-24 04:56 am (UTC)I empathize with the nerve pain. My left hip started last night and kept me awake.
Can I trouble you for your expertise before you go? Anti-static grounding (for doing electronic work)... House ground (where all the utilities ground) or go for the rebar in the dirt?

Date: 2010-11-24 05:01 am (UTC)I hope the nerve problems go away and soon!
I can only imagine how disconcerting that situation
must be for you.
Don't stay away long - I like you, and I like reading whatever you have to say!
I, too, just like you, am a loner - but, even a lone wolf must interact with the pack from time to
time.

Date: 2010-11-24 07:36 am (UTC)When I cut back on pain meds, taking aspirin along with them helped bridge the transition, and seemed to help a lot with soreness and inflammation. I hope the docs have some solutions for your lingering problems.
Wishing you needed rest, my friend.
