A Friday to be thankful for
Jun. 27th, 2004 12:18 amYesterday Jeff and I took a day trip to Rehoboth Beach just to get away from things and relax, soak up some sun, get sand in our shoes, etc. It was nice. Lunch at the Robin Hood Inn and dinner at the Purple Parrot, both were great. Except for one forgivable incident, I have never had a bad meal anywhere in Rehoboth.
Jeff befriended a group of lesbians from Syracuse that seemed to show up in some of the places we were at and vice versa. They made dinner at the Parrot that much more fun. We hit a couple of the many quirky shops, Lambda Rising bookshop, you name it. ANd me being typical me, I hit the Lowes and Home Depot on the way back home to pick up a new dehumidifier, some industrial light fixtures for the storage room and a few other goodies. Didn't spot the lesbians (well, at least our newfound friends) at either place.
The weather was great, the ocean water cool and the scenery quite bereft of eye candy. I chalk that up to it being Friday. Very relaxing day, completely without planning or schedules.
I need to spend a week like this. Or two.
