I had to look up kerning. I wonder what it was in my childhood that led to the things I get twitchy about. People who chew with their mouth open, bad grammar, etc.
Took me a second, but yeah, uneven spacing between letters.
I get anal about this as I type as I tend to notice that odd extra blank space between words where I've accidentally hit the space bar one time too many...
OMG, I just learned a new word - thank you! Though the funny thing is that I've been practicing kerning for years, just one of the routine aspects of proper typography and calligraphy. Another thing that annoys me: cabinet doors or drawers left open unnecessarily ...I can't resist closing them.

if this one is what it's all about? http://type.method.ac/ the total accuracy from one LETTER to the next? Egads!

I majored in graphic design, so yeah, I'd call the design police on this one.

But I'm not one of those that complains that someone uses Arial instead of Helvetica...
Cute cartoon. I know people that wouldn't get it even if they looked up kerning.
