So, the other weekend Jeff and I were at the grocery. We always look around in the "ethnic foods" aisle for interesting items, often finding some interesting items to challenge our palettes. Imagine my third-grader glee upon finding this. Bonus points for the brand name being the same as my surname. Heh heh, I said "bone us."

Food review whenever we get around to making this.

Fantastic, just what we need, more innuendos. ;-)

It's said that many years ago when Grace was trying to penetrate (heh) the American market, they changed it to "Chicken Soup", and sales were dismal until they restored the cock.

Some things sell well because of some quirky trait, and bomb if they try to "correct" it. Look at some of the outrageous reviews on Amazon for banana slicers, three wolf moon t-shirts and gallons of milk and the like. I bought a motion-activated sprinkler because of the silly photoshopped user-posted photos and crazy reviews. The device also worked quite nicely at keeping deer out of my veggie garden.

So when it's ready to eat - will that mean the cock's up?

If I don't burn it, over season it or otherwise cock it up. ;)

For some time now, I've been thinking this is exactly what you need...

Sure. You offer that NOW, when you're 400 miles away... ;)

LOL! Cock full of Grace. I'd have picked that up too, cuz my inner 10 year old is alive and well.

As I get older, my inner child is getting more rambunctious. What the hell, let him play. :)

Please do post a review on how it tastes. I'd wager the flavor has a bit of a wang to it. Lol

The chair in the background... is it vintage automotive?

I feel like I've seen this upholstery pattern before - like a circa 1987 Toyota Tercel? Am I even close?

And now was the soup?

Corolla, mid-80s! Yer good!

I plucked these out of a junkyard wreck of indeterminate vintage years ago to put into my long-gone '81 Chevy LUV (don't laugh. Okay, laugh. But it was a long bed!) The original bench seat was coming apart and was sheer torture. I got these buckets to plop in place. When I unloaded the truck I yanked the seats out and replaced the bench because the guy wanted it. I mated one seat to a nice hydraulic adjustable office chair base my Mom brought home from a yard sale, she paid like a buck or less for this base and mechanism, it's very well made with wooden leg trim and a reclining feature. It's very comfortable, and I've fallen asleep in it many times.

I haven't made the soup yet. This weekend will be beef soup, made on the woodstove.

ETA: I realize now this post got a lot of comments, I can't recall getting any notifications until this one. Silly Russian LJ anyhow.
