This morning I had to take care of a very difficult task. Our very close friends, who just lost their son (47 years old) to cancer had asked me if I wanted some of his belongings. A lot of stuff was already spoken for, given to other close friends, relatives, or kept by his parents. Still, I ended up with a huge pile of records, a redwood picnic table that they have had ever since I can remember, a wheelbarrow, and other odds and ends. Mom got some stuff as well. The experience was heartbreaking though. I'm emotionally exhausted. These folk are considered my aunt, uncle and cousin, and ever since I was born, that was how we 'addressed' ourselves. We are closer than most families.

On a much brighter note, I am heading out to spend some real quality time with Jeff, since today marks our 4th anniversary together. My, how time flies. An evening out on the town, with dinner, a movie, some shopping perhaps, then some quality time spent until he has to unfortunately go to work tomorrow morning.

What a bipolar kind of day.

But, I didn't want to dwell on the negative aspects at the time. Certainly you have suffered a loss that is great and I am sorry about that, but given my mood yesterday I was attempting to accentuate the positive and avoid dwelling on the negative. Very rarely do I have good days, if you will read my recent posts regarding the past week you will realize that. I'm sorry I was misunderstood and I hadn't intended to post the same message 3 times. I hope that you'll forgive me. I just don't need any more crappy days. I am tired and sick of hearing about bad things happening to people. I was trying to accent the fact that your 4th anniversary was important and that you should enjoy yourself.

Enjoy yourself.

My condolences.

I don't know you well, I've just been looking at your handsome pictures on bigmusclebears for a couple of years. Still, I'm sorry to hear of your loss, especially a friend of the same age. If you have some things of his that remind you of your friend, especially music, that will be good in the long run.

I hope your anniversary went well, to make up for it.
