So, 2005 got off to a crappy start for me already. My diverticulitis has returned, and is keeping me doubled over in pain and unable to function in society.

Gentle hugs always accepted (in case of illnesses - otherwise I wanna feel some muscle behind the hugs!).

WHAT IS diverticulitis ?

Diverticulitis is a lovely condition wherein the large intestine forms very small pockets in its wall. These pockets then catch any errant matter that happen to travel the path, but there is no mechanism in place in the body to empty these pockets. In time, the matter in the pockets begins to decompose, causing the person who has them much abdominal pain.

Treatments are either unreliable (antibiotics) or so severe as to be worse than the disease (excision of the offending bits of intestine). Not fun.
