I'm finally in the 21st Century

Well, after years upon years of being stuck at 28.8 dialup thanks to the phone company's unwillingness to upgrade the lines and nothing else available, I finally got cable internet today. w00t!

I learned to be patient with 28.8. Even though it was shared with a huge home LAN and 7 PCs. Now it flies along nicely. Cable guy was a cute cub to boot.

Aaaah, now to surf in style... seeyas later!

Yep, tinkering around with it I found that it moves along quite sweetly, rivalling what I have at work in many cases. To top it off, I understand that Comcast plans on doubling the user throughput 30 3Mb/s at the beginning of next year and use that as a selling feature for their service over others. Of course, your mileage may vary. 8-|

Any way you slice it though, I am so glad to be rid of the tyranny of dialup. w00t w00t w00t!
