Goin' South By Southwest
Mar. 9th, 2005 06:42 pmI have heard of the South by Southwest music and arts festival out of Austin many times, but was always curious as to who performs and what sort of music is played. Well, I guess I dont have to wonder any more, since it appears most of the performers have submitted their music to the festival website, and is available (via Bittorrent) as either a collection of 30-second samples or a whopping 2.6 gigabyte monster file containing complete songs. 750 of them.
This should be interesting. Or a big waste of bandwidth. I'm sure it will be a bit of both.
The page link for the torrents and other info is here. The rest of the story can be gotten from the South by Southwest website.
