I wonder how they managed to get the wheels to flare out like that, wonder if that scene is going to be recognizable in the Dukes of Hazard movie.

Drifting like this is almost an art form. In fact, it's the latest 'thing' to do. To get a car to kick it's tail out like that requires a delicate balance of throttle oversteer, steering angle and speed in the turn. Also, forget doing this in a front-drive car, it just doesnt work. You can 'fake it' with the e-brake, but it's not the same, nor as 'graceful'.

This won't work with quite a few rear-drive cars either. A Porsche, perhaps... but not a Mercedes S-Class.
