I find it more than strange that I have had not just one, but two hard drives on this machine mysteriously crash this weekend, taking with them the entire libraries of digicam pics and music. No virus is found and nothing else is out of place.

I hope my backups are current enough.

Fuck fuck fuck.

I'm with you there. I only logged in on another computer for advice, since my Win 2000 machine doesn't initialize. My laptop and PC crashed in the winter my new "big" drive was corrupt (watch out for those Samsung products). I bought a reliable drive but the laptop drive that I had backed everything up on died. So I do feel your pain. Hope your backups are current also. My day in Central Park checkign out the Christo Gates is the biggest thing I miss so far.
