Old Pink

I just came across this story on cnn.com which says Pink Floyd will be reuniting for London's "Live 8" charity concert for Africa. The concert will also have Coldplay, Elton John and Paul McCartney and will take place in London's Hyde Park July 2.

Pink Floyd. With Roger Waters! I think there just might be some hope for this world after all.

I'd SO like to be at that concert. Pink Floyd was one band I always wanted to see but for various cash-related reasons, never got to see live. I hope they can set aside their differences once and for all and start touring once again.

I aint holding my breath though.

Yes, I should say the same thing. I was never able to see Pink Floyd play with either Roger Waters or without him live in concert. I am glad to see that they are able to set aside their differences for a good cause. Of course, this would be the optimum time for their record company to release PULSE on dvd, wouldn't it? Yes, they should record the relief concert for a dvd to say the least. Considering the fact that this is such an important and remarkable event, they would be foolish not to. ;-)

I guess hoping that they’ll play anything before Dark Side is a tad, er...hopeful.

I just hope it doesn’t become an all The Wall show. Talk about your albums that sounded better with teenaged ears!

I don't mind The Wall though I did play the living shit out of it when it came out and that gave me my fill for many years to come. I'd like to see a sampling of all the good PF songs throughout the pre-Wall era. I guess I am just wishing a hell of a lot.
