Pride goeth after my truck

greatbearWell, as much as I wanted to, I didnt make it to DC's pride festivities this weekend. Instead, I got caught up in garage work, outdoor stuff and what I am calling Operation Bambi Zap, which is installing an electric fence around the vegetable garden to keep the veggies safe from the ravages of the deer overpopulation here. So far, so good, but I am not going to proclaim 'mission accomplished' for fear that insurgent deer will blow themselves up near my tomatoes as they are ripening.
It looks as though my presence will be guaranteed in the Baltimore Pride parade, as I got asked to pull the float for Brother Help Thyself on Saturday, since their driver from DC became unavailable for this weekend. This will be the fifth time my truck has rumbled it's way along a parade route, causing pangs of lust in the butchest of bull dykes. Should be fun. It also appears that I will be hauling the jail cell for COMMAND MC to and from the Sunday festival at Druid Hill Park. So, if anyone is going to be around these events, it should not be tough to find me.

Date: 2005-06-14 03:34 am (UTC)Actually, several years ago I had thought up something similar of pulling a float with the guys on it not with a truck but a couple of big guys instead. That changed when I was in a car accident in 2000 and the people that were designing the float thought I had volunteered and there really were no other 'strongmen' (and I am using the word very loosely here) in the club. I drove the truck instead, and got to enjoy the a/c. *g*
