Breathe. Money. Wish You Were Here. Comfortably Numb.

Only four songs. But I am still happy. Pink Floyd managed to set aside their differences and play some of their best known songs on stage while the normally moving marquee atop the entire stage was frozen with the words NO MORE EXCUSES.

As a banner held aloft by someone in the audience read that echoed (wink) my sentiments: "Pink Floyd Live. Pigs have FLOWN". Rumor has it that there is something else in potentially in the works. Roger Waters' voice is a bit rough now, but they pulled it off, playing tight and with some proud energy. Let's hope there is something more to come.

Right now on the Hyde Park stage Paul McCartney is performing Beatles songs, currently Helter Skelter. Sounding good.

It's times like this I am glad there is the internet. It connects people in many ways over huge distances and can empower them to make a big difference in themselves and in the world.

I'M so bummed.
I waited most of the day for the Floyd reunion, and had to step out for a half hour. Murphy's law I missed it. Saw a part of "numb", but really want to see all of it (especially since I've just learned about 98% of wish you were here this week, solo and all).

Hopefully I'll catch it somewhere.

Hmm, now maybe a reunion tour (fat chance I know, but I saw their last two tours and would love to see again).

AOL will have available all the performances. I don't have AOL, so it was nice to see that the Live 8 performances were maed available to everyone.

And I do hope that a DVD set comes out as I missed The Tragically Hip performance... but I was NOT about to miss Pink Floyd!
