"Honey, did you get my duct tape band-aids from the grocery store? I don't want to use REAL icky duct tape but if I use normal ones the guys at the shop will make fun of me!!"
It's not bad at all. Run the tool at a slow speed and it's quite precise. Tiny round carbide burr for the ingrown areas, aluminum oxide drum to smooth things out and shape the ends.
I've done that many times as well. My finger and toenails are pretty tough, and I actually use small precision side cutters to trim them, since typical clippers wear out or (really cheap ones) bend instead of cut. My fingernails can sometimes get mangled up when I do a lot of heavy work, so I try to keep them as short as I can, but an old habit of leaving the ones on my right hand a bit long for guitar playing sometimes puts them in danger. I dont play much these days, so I keep 'em all short.
There have been times that I wanted to attach a back scratcher to a recipro saw and run that bitch at full speed all over my back, especially after a sunburn reaches that defcon 5 itchy stage.
