LJ issues

Seems like LJ, at least for me, has been having some odd issues with post notifications. Some notification emails show up normally, but some either arrive containing the text of my post and missing the text of the reply, or dont show up at all. If some of you were expecting a response, I might have missed it due to not being notified.

Anyone else having similar problems?

Judging by the huge amount of spam I receive via my LJ address, it is also possible the some of the notification mails are being tossed as spam. I have a feeling a lot of the spam that arrives in this account is due to crawlers triggered by some of the memes. After all, simply adding "@livejournal.com" to usernames will create valid addresses to paid/perm users. Say NO to prepackaged memes!

ALmost all the ones I get are 'graphic spam' usually spamming some sort of stock; the graphic contains the text of the spam, and the body text is random phrases. Annoying.

Some of the more egregious ones that have you copy a huge block of code to paste often have web bugs, and the ones that pick through your friends list might often cache all of those links for 'later use'.

It is... which is why I refuse to do many of those memes.

But LJ has been a lil bit wonky for me too, some notifications and replies are going missing.

Yep, me too... not always getting email notifications... sometimes unable to post comments (strange error message says "cannot reply to a non-existent comment")... and today I posted my entry as private to make sure all my tags worked, then it wouldn't let me modify it to friends-only until an hour or so later. Scrapbook is wonky too.

I don't know about my LJ address as I get all of my notifications via Yahoo and yes, on occasion, rare at that that I don't get the text of the person's response to some comment or post I had made and I then have to go into LJ itself and the post to read the actual response but again, that's rare for me.

I do notice that on my LJ that when I post, sometimes the times get all wonky and I have to backdate just so it posts correctly and then go back to the first post of the day and fix that and all is well. That is after I tried to set a post to post the following morning. Never do that.

And on occasion, I have to retype my password as it sometimes won't log me in correctly on the first try.
